Mechanical Engineer (UPDA Grade (minimum)) – HVAC Supervision Experience Required

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly competent Mechanical Engineer with valid UPDA/MME Grade B or above to join our team in Doha. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in mechanical systems, particularly HVAC, and be capable of independently supervising installation, testing, and commissioning works on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage HVAC installation and mechanical works on-site
• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and MEP teams
• Review and prepare shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
• Monitor site progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of HVAC systems
• Identify and resolve technical issues on-site efficiently
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Qatar (GCC experience preferred)
• Valid UPDA/MME License – Grade B or above (mandatory)
• Proven experience in HVAC systems (installation, testing & commissioning)
• Strong knowledge of local regulations, standards, and authority requirements
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and MEP drawings
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Valid Qatari driving license preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in commercial, residential, or fit-out projects
• Knowledge of ducting, chilled water systems, VRF/VRV systems
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and site execution
• Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities
