Mechanical Engineer

Reports To: Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing mechanical systems and equipment in oil and gas projects. This role ensures that mechanical work meets project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements, while coordinating with project teams for smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, analyze, and review mechanical systems, piping, and equipment as per project requirements.
• Prepare mechanical calculations, material specifications, and documentation.
• Review drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications for compliance with standards.
• Provide technical support to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Monitor mechanical progress, identify potential issues, and suggest solutions.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients for smooth workflow.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, HSE requirements, and codes.
• Assist in planning and execution of maintenance or modification activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in oil and gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, HVAC, and equipment installation.
• Proficient in design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in EPC projects in oil and gas.
• Knowledge of project management and site coordination.
• Ability to provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
