Mechanical Estimation Engineer

• Review tender documents, project specifications, and mechanical drawings to understand project scope.
• Prepare quantity take-offs for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Analyze and interpret BOQs, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Obtain material and subcontractor quotations and evaluate them for inclusion in cost estimates.
• Develop detailed cost sheets and estimation breakdowns for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and lead times.
• Participate in tender review meetings and assist in preparing final bid submissions.
• Provide technical and commercial input to the proposal and procurement teams.
• Assist in value engineering and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain a database of unit prices, supplier quotes, and historical project data.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in mechanical estimation, preferably in the MEP or construction industry.
• Sound knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in estimation software, MS Excel, AutoCAD, and reading technical drawings.
• Familiarity with tendering procedures and contract conditions.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and time-management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
