Mechanical Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimation Engineer with extensive experience in the building construction sector. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, reviewing tender documents, and supporting the commercial and project teams during the bidding process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents for MEP works.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Analyze project requirements and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and evaluate them technically and commercially.
• Prepare technical and commercial bid proposals.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for clarifications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Prepare tender comparison sheets and cost analysis reports.
• Assist in post-tender negotiations and contract award processes.
• Maintain estimation database and cost records for future reference.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in MEP estimation for building construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and ELV systems.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office (e.g., CCS Candy, Cost X, MS Excel, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of local authority regulations and standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
