JMC Recycling Systems is the UK's largest manufacturer of metal recycling equipment, dating back to 1872. We are looking for mechanical fitters to join our team.

Description of the role:

You will assemble metal recycling machinery such as shears, strippers, conveyors, balers, cable strippers, casting machines, crackers and more. This involves fitting hydraulic pumps, hoses and valves, diesel and electric motors, and the mechanical assembly of the machines. You will work from Engineering Drawings supplied by our in-house design team.

There are opportunities for progression into field commissioning and servicing once enough experience has been gained.

Hours and Pay:

Working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

The starting pay is £16 - £18 per hour depending on experience.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for candidates with experience working with metal recycling machinery, or any similar machinery: conveyors, hydraulic machinery, mining equipment etc. If you are unsure about the skills required for the role, feel free to apply and ask any questions you may have.

The successful applicants will have:

• Experience with mechanical and hydraulic machines.
• Experience with power tools such as angle grinders.
• Welding experience.
• Experience with pneumatics and electrics is a bonus.
• Forklift driving experience is a bonus.
