Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 5-8 years of hands on experience in maintenance of gas plants and pipeline systems.
- Strong expertise in maintenance of mechanical equipment, including static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, valves) and rotary equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers).
- Experience using SAP PM for maintenance work orders, notifications, and history tracking is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities for mechanical equipment in gas plants and pipelines.
- Lead and manage mechanical technicians and fitters, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, permit to work systems, and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with operations to plan maintenance activities, shutdowns, and equipment isolation.
- Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of maintenance jobs.
- Perform troubleshooting and support root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures.
- Verify job quality, conduct inspections, and ensure equipment readiness before handover to operations.
- Ensure proper use of tools, spare parts, and materials; support inventory control and spare management.
- Prepare and close maintenance work orders, reports, and equipment history records.
- Support plant start up, shutdown, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Provide on the job training and mentoring to technicians to enhance team capability.
