Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC systems for commercial and residential projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop HVAC systems for a range of building types (commercial, industrial, and residential).
• Perform load calculations, system design, and equipment selection based on project specifications.
• Oversee HVAC system installation, including equipment layout, ductwork design, and air distribution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system issues, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, electrical engineers, and other team members on project planning and coordination.
• Ensure all designs and installations comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Provide technical support during project execution, including site visits and inspections.
• Prepare project documentation, including drawings, reports, and technical specifications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in HVAC system design, installation, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, energy-efficient designs, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, HAP, Revit, etc.).
• Experience in managing and executing HVAC projects from concept to completion.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work within a team.
• Knowledge of local codes and standards in the UAE is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or membership with a recognized professional body (ASHRAE, AEE, etc.).
• Previous experience working in the UAE market, specifically in Abu Dhabi.
• Knowledge of sustainability and green building practices.
