Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical / HVAC Supervisor to oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all mechanical and HVAC systems within the hotel. This role ensures optimal comfort for guests and colleagues, system reliability, energy efficiency, and full compliance with Faena brand standards and local regulatory requirements. The Mechanical / HVAC Supervisor leads the HVAC team, manages preventive maintenance programs, and supports the Director of Engineering in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable building operations.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor and operate HVAC and mechanical systems via the Building Management System (BMS) to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.

Supervise and coordinate HVAC and mechanical technicians, assigning daily tasks and ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.

Oversee maintenance and repair of all HVAC and mechanical systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, pumps, valves, and associated plumbing interfaces.

Conduct routine inspections and performance checks of BMS-controlled systems and diagnose faults for timely corrective action.

Coordinate with the Director of Engineering and external contractors for testing, commissioning, upgrades, and specialized repairs.

Ensure accurate documentation of work orders, maintenance records, and statutory inspection reports.

Manage spare parts, tools, and consumables inventory to maintain operational readiness.

Support HVAC-related fire and life safety activities in coordination with Security and relevant authorities.

Train, mentor, and develop HVAC technicians on system operation, troubleshooting, and safety procedures.

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in plant rooms, AHU rooms, and service areas.

Monitor energy consumption and support initiatives to improve efficiency and sustainability.

Prepare monthly HVAC performance, energy usage, and maintenance reports.

Support budgeting, cost control, and capital planning initiatives related to HVAC systems.

Ensure full compliance with corporate engineering standards, local mechanical codes, life safety regulations, and brand requirements.
Qualifications-
Proven experience as an HVAC Supervisor or Senior HVAC Technician in luxury hotels, resorts, or large-scale facilities.

Strong technical knowledge of chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, pumps, valves, and BMS operations.

Experience supervising teams and coordinating contractors and service providers.

Solid understanding of mechanical codes, safety regulations, and statutory compliance.

Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience in energy management, sustainability initiatives, and cost control is an advantage.

Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications preferred.
