Mechanical Inspector – Consultancy Experience (UAE)

Summary:
Experienced Mechanical Inspector with proven background in consultancy supervision roles within the UAE construction industry. Skilled in overseeing mechanical works for high-end developments, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, and quality standards. Strong coordination with contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure smooth execution and timely delivery of MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site inspections for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Review method statements, material submittals, and shop drawings for compliance with standards.
• Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to quality and safety requirements.
• Report non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams for interface requirements.
• Assist in reviewing as-built drawings and O&M manuals for final handover.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, etc.).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 UAE years of experience, with at least 5 years in a consultancy supervision role in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, testing and commissioning procedures, and local codes/standards.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Previous involvement in villa, residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• Familiarity with consultants such as Emaar, Nakheel, or Dubai Properties projects.
