Mechanical Inspector

We are seeking a Mechanical Inspector to carry out inspection and quality control activities for oil & gas projects. The role involves ensuring all mechanical works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, international standards, and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical works including piping, structural steel, tanks, and equipment.
• Verify materials, fabrication, installation, and testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Review and approve inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Coordinate with QA/QC and construction teams for inspections.
• Witness pressure testing, hydro testing, and functional tests.
• Monitor welding activities and NDT results.
• Prepare inspection reports and quality documentation.
• Identify non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and site safety procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as Mechanical Inspector in oil & gas.
• Strong knowledge of piping, equipment, and mechanical systems.
• Experience in fabrication site inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and isometrics.
• Good reporting and documentation skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Valid safety certifications (preferred).
