QC Mechanical Inspector

Responsibilities

1. Inspection of machined parts from in-house and outside precision machine shops

2. Inspection of supplier manufactured or purchased parts/components to prints/drawings

3. Documentation of inspection results using QC forms, records, spread sheets and computer data bases

4. Inspection processes include machine parts, injection molded parts, sheet metal panels, fastener hardware, electronic components and other fabricated components.

5. Create inspection control plans

6. Generate Nonconforming Product Reports (NCP) for rejected parts/assemblies at all phases of manufacturing/production

7. Final Assembly inspections

8. First Article Inspections

Technical Knowledge Requirements

1. Basic Math Skills

2. Blue print reading and interpretation

3. Inspection control plans

4. First Article inspections

5. Tight tolerance (± 0.0005) measurements

6. Sampling Plans

7. Nonconforming Product reports (NCP)

Tool Experience

1. Calipers

2. Micrometers

3. Bore Gages

4. Dial Indicators

5. Electronic Height Gages

6. Pin Gages

7. Thread Plug and Ring Gages

8. Surface Plate set-ups

9. Optical Comparator

10. Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

Experience Requirements

1. 5 years of experience in mechanical inspection measuring machined and injection molded parts

2. ASQ Certified QA Inspector (preferred)

3. Microsoft Excel software (preferred)

1. Open based on experience
