MECHANICAL LEAD

Job Purpose: Lead and coordinate the mechanical execution team for the installation, assembly, and precision alignment of reciprocating compressors and associated rotating equipment, ensuring seamless integration with piping and auxiliaries in a live brownfield refinery environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead mechanical work crews and technicians, coordinating daily installation sequences and workfront priorities.
• Precision Installation: Oversee the assembly and installation of compressor skids, cylinders, pulsation dampeners, and electric motors to rigid couplings.
• Alignment Oversight: Ensure all rotating equipment meets OEM tolerances of 0.05mm through laser alignment verification and reporting.
• Technical Compliance: Verify all mechanical works comply with ASME and API standards (API 610, API 682) and Baker Hughes OEM procedures.
• Operational Coordination: Manage rigging operations for heavy lifts of compressor components and supervise cementitious or epoxy grouting of soleplates.
• Handover Management: Coordinate the mechanical completion punch list and turnover of systems to the commissioning team.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years of rotating equipment installation experience, with at least 5 years in KSA refineries (SABIC/Aramco/SASREF).
• Technical Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience with reciprocating compressor installation and laser alignment systems.
• Safety: Valid H2S, PTW, and Confined Space certifications.
• Status: Transferable Iqama.

Salary Range: SAR 15,000 – 22,000/month (Estimated based on Lead differential).
