Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues, conducting preventive and predictive maintenance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential problems before they cause downtime.
• Resolve equipment failures quickly to minimize production losses.

2. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive maintenance schedules.
• Conduct condition-based monitoring (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication checks, etc.).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.

3. Equipment Reliability & Improvement

• Analyze root causes of equipment failures and develop corrective actions.
• Recommend and implement engineering improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs (Kaizen, 5S, TPM, Lean).

4. Technical Support

• Provide technical engineering expertise to the maintenance team.
• Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery.
• Ensure that mechanical systems comply with safety and regulatory standards.

5. Spare Parts & Documentation

• Monitor spare parts inventory and ensure availability of critical components.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, including mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance logs.

Qualifications /Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

• 0 to 1 yr (or more) experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
