*Job Summary* :

Responsible for ensuring smooth operation and reliability of all mechanical equipment and machinery by performing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment and utilities.

Attend to breakdown maintenance and troubleshoot issues in pumps, compressors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and other mechanical systems.

Ensure proper installation, alignment, and calibration of mechanical components and machinery.

Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, and daily activity logs.

Coordinate with the production department to minimize downtime and schedule maintenance without affecting production targets.

Monitor and control spare parts inventory, raise material requisitions, and ensure availability of critical spares.

Follow and ensure compliance with safety procedures, ISO standards, and 5S practices in the maintenance area.

Support improvement projects, cost reduction initiatives, and machinery modifications to improve efficiency.

Liaise with external vendors and service providers for repair, AMC, or calibration activities.

Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and gear systems.

Hands-on experience in welding, fitting, fabrication, and machining (preferred).

Knowledge of TPM, preventive maintenance systems, and safety standards.

Basic understanding of electrical and instrumentation interfaces (added advantage).

Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
