Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

The Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project is looking for an experiences Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join their team and supervise mechanical maintenance crew consisting of millwrights, welders, and helpers at a 100-Megawatt solar energy plant. Ideal candidate would have at least 5 years’ experience in mechanical leadership role in power, oil & gas, or similar industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Daily supervision of mechanical maintenance crew of 4-6 to ensure planned work is performed safely and efficiently

· Communication with management and operations teams to prioritize and address plant issues

· Collaboration with maintenance manager, electrical and I&C supervisors, and planning department to develop weekly plan for corrective and planned maintenance

· Collaboration with and management of various contractors and vendors on site to assist in mechanical maintenance

· Periodic safety inspections and performance evaluations of crew members

· Develop/improve site mechanical maintenance plan to include pumps, valves, and equipment

· Manage/audit mechanical inventory to ensure proper spare parts on hand for crucial site equipment

· Coordinate with procurement department to request spare parts or services as required

· Stay connected with main vendors to guarantee service

Skills & Qualifications:

· Flexibility to work according with the power plant demand

· +5 years' experience in mechanical leadership role in power, oil & gas or similar industry

· Mechanical drawings interpretation, pumps, valves, pressure vessels, etc.

· Welding WPS and PQR knowledge will be a plus

· Microsoft office – word and excel user.

· Must possess strong organizational skills, problem solving and verbal /written communication skills.

· Must have the ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.
