Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Engineer – Piping to support the execution of Oil & Gas piping construction activities at site. The role involves supervising piping erection, welding, testing, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, quality standards, and HSE requirements. This position offers an opportunity to work on large-scale Oil & Gas projects and contribute directly to successful project delivery.
Duties
- Supervise piping fabrication, erection, fit-up, welding, and alignment activities at site
- Review and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with QC, Welding, NDT, Planning, and HSE teams to ensure smooth execution
- Ensure work is executed in compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, WPS, and project specifications
- Monitor and support hydro testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, reinstatement, and line clearance activities
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, manpower reports, and work schedules
- Coordinate with client/consultant for inspections, approvals, and punch list clearance
- Track material receiving, MIRs, weld mapping, NDT status, and test packs
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE regulations and site safety requirements
- Support mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and handover documentation
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3–7 years of site experience in Oil & Gas piping projects
- Strong knowledge of ASME codes & standards, piping construction practices
- Hands-on experience in site execution, not design-based roles
- Familiarity with hydrotest packs, line lists, as-built drawings, and turnover dossiers
- Experience working inside refineries, plants, or EPC Oil & Gas projects
- Good coordination, reporting, and communication skills
- GCC / Kuwait experience is an added advantage
