Job Vacancy: Mechanical Procurement Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Procurement Engineer to join our growing MEP construction team. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in procurement within the UAE construction industry and possess strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, BOQs, material submittals, and supplier management.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience as a Mechanical Procurement Engineer in the construction/MEP industry.
• Proven experience in procurement logs creation and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, technical specifications, and tender documents.
• Experience in quality compliance, material approvals, and coordination with QA/QC requirements.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical materials including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and water supply systems.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Well-established network and strong relationships with UAE suppliers and vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP/Procurement systems, and documentation management.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project, engineering, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure mechanical materials in accordance with project specifications and budgets.
• Prepare and maintain procurement logs, tracking reports, and material status reports.
• Review BOQs, technical specifications, and material requisitions.
• Obtain quotations, perform commercial and technical evaluations, and negotiate with suppliers.
• Coordinate material approvals, submittals, and delivery schedules with consultants and project teams.
• Ensure all procured materials comply with project quality standards and approved specifications.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing.
• Monitor procurement schedules to support project timelines and avoid delays.
• Maintain complete procurement documentation and vendor records.

Preferred Candidate

• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice periods will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the UAE construction market and procurement processes.
