Mechanical Project Engineer

Responsibilities

Conduct Material Take Off (MTO) by reviewing project drawings and specifications to determine material quantities and types.
Prepare and manage detailed MTO lists, coordinating with the procurement team for material orders.
Develop and issue Request for Quote (RFQ) documents to suppliers and subcontractors for required materials and services.
Review and analyze received quotes for compliance with project specifications and budget.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing and delivery schedules.
Serve as the primary liaison with subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating their activities to ensure timely and quality delivery of materials and services.
Address and resolve issues or discrepancies with suppliers and subcontractors during procurement and delivery.
Monitor and track the progress of material and equipment deliveries to meet project timelines and milestones.
Expedite orders as necessary to prevent project delays and communicate potential issues to the project management team.
Maintain detailed records of communications and actions related to expediting efforts.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
B.E/ B.TECH - Mechanical or Civil Engineering with MANDATORY experience of atleast 1 year in construction industry.
Experience in Auto CAD , Tekla ,REVIT
