Mechanical Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians. The successful candidate will oversee mechanical design, development, installation, and maintenance activities. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership capabilities to ensure systems and processes operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and task delegation.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, equipment, and processes.
• Review and approve mechanical designs, engineering calculations, and technical documentation.
• Plan and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, timeline, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (electrical, civil, production, procurement, etc.) to support project execution and system integration.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for equipment failures or process inefficiencies.
• Ensure all mechanical systems comply with regulatory and safety standards (e.g., ASME, ISO, OSHA).
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure minimal downtime of mechanical assets.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices to enhance team performance and productivity.
• Manage capital expenditure planning and procurement related to mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or MBA is a plus).
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proficient in mechanical design tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, maintenance practices, and mechanical systems (HVAC, pumps, hydraulics, etc.).
• Proven track record in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
• Familiar with FEA/CFD tools and data analysis software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards.
