Key Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret mechanical layouts, schematic diagrams, shop drawings, As-Built drawings, and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with project Engineering Instructions (EIs), Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct QA/QC verification of mechanical system installations including HVAC ducting, chilled water piping, plumbing networks, pumps, valves, VAVs, FCUs, AHUs, and associated equipment.
- Witness and verify mechanical system functional tests such as pressure testing, leak testing, flow testing, pump and valve performance, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure correct tagging, labeling, and traceability of mechanical components and equipment.
- Identify non-conformances and generate accurate inspection reports (MIRs, WIRs, NCRs) in line with project QA/QC protocols.
- Communicate effectively with project engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and site observations using Microsoft Excel, Word, and reporting software.
Technical Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical systems engineering or QA/QC inspection for construction projects.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, chilled water systems, pumps, piping networks, valves, ducting systems, and associated mechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with Engineering Instructions (EIs) and ability to implement technical directives on site.
- Practical understanding of QA/QC processes, including ITPs, method statements, and non-conformance reporting.
- Site exposure is mandatory; candidate should be comfortable working in active construction environments with dynamic and obstructed conditions.
- Excellent ability to read, interpret, and cross-check mechanical and plumbing drawings, including schematic layouts and coordination drawings.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Excel (formulas, filtering, basic functions), Word (technical report writing).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- UAE Driving License required.
- MOFA-attested 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree required.
- Candidates must complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
