Job Summary
The Mechanical Technician works under the direction of the Mechanical Supervisor/Engineer to execute preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities. The role includes participation in annual outages and overhauling activities on plant equipment, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, maintenance procedures, and company regulations.
Roles & Responsibilities

Comply with safety rules and regulations.

Perform all plant maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner, strictly adhering to approved maintenance procedures and work instructions.

Document equipment history and report maintenance concerns accurately.

Coordinate with the Mechanical Supervisor regarding required spare parts and consumables and update spare availability to meet maintenance requirements.

Ensure proper isolations (Lockout/Tagout procedures) are carried out before starting maintenance activities, in coordination with the Mechanical Supervisor and local operator.

Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on equipment under assigned responsibility.

Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating mechanical equipment used in power and desalination plants.

Ensure proper care and safe use of tools, lifting equipment, and other related devices required to perform assigned tasks.

Carry out all necessary preparations for mechanical maintenance in assigned equipment and work areas.

Maintain a working knowledge of equipment operation and associated systems.

Maintain 5S housekeeping standards in the assigned work area.

Perform any other duties as assigned.
Educational Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

OR
-
Minimum three (3+) years of experience as Skilled Mechanical Labor in plants
Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirements
Minimum:

Three (3) years of experience in a similar position
