Job Title: Mechanical Technician - GE Gas Turbines (Shutdowns)

Calling all precision mechanics! Are you passionate about hands-on work on some of the world's most powerful industrial machinery?
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to play a pivotal role in the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of GE/Baker Hughes Frame 6, 7, and 9 gas turbines during major shutdown campaigns.
In this role, you will:

Perform critical mechanical overhauls during Major Inspection (MI), Hot Gas Path (HGP), and Combustion Inspection (CI) scopes, following strict OEM procedures.

Execute precision tasks including rotor alignment, bearing installation, clearance checks, and hydraulic tensioning on critical joints.

Use specialized tools for laser alignment, torquing, and borescope inspections to ensure every component meets exact GE specifications.

Work on the core mechanical systems rotors, casings, combustion components, and auxiliaries (lube oil, fuel gas).

Be a key player in achieving a zero-incident, zero-leak shutdown.
The Ideal Candidate Has:

Solid hands-on experience in the mechanical overhaul of GE/Baker Hughes Frame 6, 7, and/or 9 gas turbines.

Expertise in precision alignment, bearing handling, flange management, and torque/tensioning procedures.

Proficiency with mechanical measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools).

A relentless focus on safety, quality, and procedure, with experience in PTW, LOTO, and confined space work.

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and OEM manuals.
