Position Overview
We are seeking a Compressor Mechanical Tech to support the maintenance and operation of compressor packages and related equipment. This role involves hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with preventative maintenance (PM) planning.
The successful candidate will contribute to safe and efficient operations while supporting team members across field locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with maintenance of one or more compressor units and associated equipment

Support operation and performance of compressor packages

Plan and execute preventative maintenance (PM) activities

Perform entry-level diagnostics and troubleshooting

Assist in repair work and equipment inspections
-
Collaborate with other mechanics and field teams as needed
-
Provide feedback to improve equipment performance and reliability
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
-
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
-
OEM training, Trade School, or related industry experience (preferred)
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in compression, production, or related equipment
-
Basic knowledge of gas processes and compressor mechanics (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.)
Technical Skills

Basic diagnostic and repair capabilities

Electrical troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with compressor systems and components

Working knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Additional Requirements

Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Experience

Caterpillar engine experience (required)

Waukesha engine experience (highly preferred)

Ariel compressor experience (highly preferred)

Candidates with less than 10 years of experience are preferred

Physical Requirements

Operate heavy equipment (e.g., crane, manlift)

Stand up to 75% of the workday; sit up to 25%

Climb ladders and stairs; maintain balance without assistance

Lift up to 10 lbs frequently and over 50 lbs occasionally

Work in high-noise environments (>85 dBA) with required hearing protection

Work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat and cold)

Perform tasks in confined spaces (stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl)

Use standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, etc.)

Wear all required PPE (FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc.)
Work Environment

Exposure to controlled hazardous materials (e.g., cleaning solvents)
