Mechanical Technician (Majis Industrial Services)

Majis delivers water and wastewater utility services to industrial zones.

A Mechanical Technician at Majis works in industrial water treatment and utility plants, maintaining equipment that supports major industries in Sohar Port and Freezone.

Core Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repair

Maintain and repair mechanical equipment such as:

Pumps

Valves

Motors

Compressors

Pipelines and rotating equipment

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

Troubleshooting

Diagnose mechanical faults in plant systems

Identify causes of breakdowns

Repair or replace faulty components

Plant Operations Support

Support operation of:

Water treatment plants

Desalination systems

Wastewater treatment facilities

Assist operators during shutdowns and start-ups

Inspection & Monitoring

Conduct routine inspections of equipment

Monitor system performance and vibration/pressure issues

Report abnormalities to engineers or supervisors

Safety Compliance

Follow strict HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures

Work under permit-to-work systems (PTW)

Use proper PPE and safety standards

Support safe operations in chemical/water treatment environments

Requirements:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field

3–5+ years experience in industrial maintenance or utilities

Knowledge of:

Pumps and rotating equipment

Preventive maintenance systems

Industrial safety procedures

Basic English communication (Arabic is a plus)

Pay: From RO650.000 per month
