Job Summary:
Collects and handles clinical specimens. Performs laboratory tests, operates laboratory equipment, and reports results under the supervision of the Laboratory Team Leader. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed.

Performance expectations will be covered in the orientation and preceptor phases of your orientation to your job.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills
An associate degree in medical laboratory technology or equivalent is required.
Work Experience:
Certification/Licensure—DUE UPON HIRE
Mental Demands:
Ability to prioritize and organize tasks, communicate effectively, cooperate with others, perform test procedures, quality control procedures and report results, perform repetitive tasks, follow directions precisely and problem solve.
