Support services are provided for both inpatients and outpatients and the scope of service is consistent with the current mission of the hospital to provide quality community-based primary health care to Jefferson and surrounding counties.

Job Description: We’re seeking a prn CNA to join our team at Jefferson Hospital. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, Certified Nursing Assistants are tasked with assisting in the direct daily care of patients. Certified Nursing Assistants help patients with Activities of Daily Living and are also responsible for monitoring and reporting changes in condition to their supervisor.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Prepares patient rooms prior to arrival. On patient arrival, takes patients initial vital signs including weight, any known allergies, current pharmacy, etc.
• Assists patients with care including bathing, grooming, hygiene, feeding, and
  placement of adaptive equipment.
• Assists other staff members by performing, supportive and complementary tasks
  essential to patient care.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Current CNA certification in the State of Georgia.
• Current BLS certification.
