Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician (Med Tech) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your expertise will support clinical teams by performing essential medical tasks, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care activities such as vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and basic nursing procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical protocols
  • Support residents or patients with activities of daily living, including mobility assistance, hygiene, and feeding needs such as tube feeding or personal care routines
  • Document medical information accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Epic or Cerner; ensure all records are complete and up-to-date
  • Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining safety standards and proper documentation of medication administration
  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including physiology and anatomy-related observations, to nursing staff or healthcare providers
  • Assist with specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or other memory impairments; support memory care and hospice care initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and safety guidelines during all patient interactions

Skills

  • Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures such as catheter care and tube feeding
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate medical documentation
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require specialized dementia or Alzheimer’s care
  • Excellent caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient support and safety
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
  • Experience with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic nursing tasks in acute or community care settings

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
