Position Summary

The Medication Technician supports resident care by assisting with activities of daily living and administering medications in accordance with each resident’s care plan and physician orders.


️ Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments per care plans and licensed provider orders

  • Accurately document medication administration and treatments

  • Communicate with pharmacy regarding refills, changes, and discrepancies

  • Support residents with daily living activities (mobility, transfers, personal care)

  • Promote resident safety, dignity, and quality of life

  • Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and team members

  • Assist with household tasks (meal prep, cleaning, laundry)

  • Complete incident reporting and narcotic counts per policy

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment

  • Collaborate with team members and participate in care planning


✅ Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist with resident mobility

  • Ability to complete accurate documentation

Preferred:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent or MA (Medical Assistant) certification

  • 2+ years of experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, resident-centered senior living community

  • Requires walking, bending, lifting, and assisting residents throughout shift
