Med Tech (2nd Shift)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Technician to join our team. The Medical Technician will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing quality patient care. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment. MUST BE A NC CERTIFIED MED TECH!

Duties:
- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs, height, weight, and medical history documentation
- Assist with patient care procedures, such as wound dressing changes and specimen collection
- Administer medications under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infection
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) for medical documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Assist in the coordination of patient appointments and follow-up care
- Provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a medical office setting

Skills:
- Proficient in patient assessment techniques and documentation
- Knowledge of medical office procedures and protocols
- Familiarity with medication administration practices
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique during procedures
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
