Med Tech/ Caregiver

In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, assist with daily activities, and support medical needs in an assisted living and memory care setting. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support in accordance with care plans.
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; accurately document findings using electronic health record
  • Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, or hospice care by implementing tailored approaches that promote comfort and safety.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care activities utilizing EMR/EHR systems; ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to coordinate patient care plans; communicate changes or concerns promptly.
  • Ensure a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards in assisted living or home & community care settings.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration procedures.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous for maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Background in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or working within hospice or memory care programs is a plus. .
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with compassion for seniors and individuals with disabilities; excellent communication abilities are essential for success.
