Job Description:
The Medication Tech / CNA @ The Cardinal at North Hills is responsible for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.
Medication Technician **Must have a CNA certification**
1st (7a-3p) & 2nd (3p-11p)
** Pay Range $21/hr - $23 +/hr (MT/CNA Combo)
Paid Vacation/ Free Meal each shift

CNA: must be licensed in North Carolina verifiable through online registry

MT: must be a licensed Medication Aide verifiable through online registry

Must be able to provide certificate of completion of 10-hour and 5-hour or 15-hour Medication Technician Certification course (we will certify after 90 days of solid employment)
What will I do every day as a MT?
-
Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisor
-
Assist residents with simple requests as needed
-
Document and report changes of condition
-
Provide medication set up and assistance
-
Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns
-
Track all medications and re-order as needed
-
Track residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc.

High school education or GED equivalent preferred

Nursing assistant course completion
Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

First Aid certification and CPR, if required

Must meet state training requirements and/or certifications

CNA if required by state
