Med Tech/Caregiver

The Reid House is seeking compassionate and dependable Med Techs / Caregivers to join our care team. This role is ideal for someone who is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting seniors with dignity and respect.

Position Overview

The Med Tech / Caregiver provides direct resident care, assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), and supports safe medication administration in accordance with state regulations and facility policies. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility)
• Administer medications as trained and permitted (Med Tech role)
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing or leadership staff
• Document care, medication administration, and incidents accurately and timely
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
• Assist with meals, hydration, and resident engagement
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
• Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
• Work collaboratively with nursing, management, and care team members

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or long-term care preferred
• Med Tech certification or willingness to obtain (if applicable)
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
• Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift, stand, walk, and assist residents as needed
