Med Tech/Caregiver

Full Job Description

The Gables of Blackfoot Memory Care is a community for the elderly. We are looking for a competent Med Tech to care for our residents in a professional and compassionate manner. Must be hardworking, honest and reliable.

We are currently hiring for a full-time Med Tech/Caregiver.

Pay from $14/hour based on experience. Differential pay for graveyard shift.

The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. You need to be able to follow instructions and assist our residents with activities of daily living. Skills of cooking is neccessary.

Responsibilities

• Help residents take prescribed medication (Must have Med Certification)
• Assist residents with ambulation and mobility around the community
• Assist residents with personal care and hygiene
• Help residents with physical therapy exercises
• Cooking
• Perform light housekeeping duties that residents can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Skills

• Proven experience as a caregiver/Med Tech/ Cooking
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Respectful and compassionate
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ethics
• High school diploma or equivalent

Must have First Aid/CPR certification, medication certification and be able to clear a criminal history background check. We are able to help individuals acquire these certifications.
