Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and a passion for working with individuals who have developmental disabilities, including those with dementia. This role is essential in providing high-quality medical support in various settings, including acute care and assisted living environments. The Medical Technician will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of patients while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining a safe and supportive atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress accurately.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the medical office or facility.
• Support residents and promote independence and dignity.

Experience

• Familiarity with dementia care practices is highly desirable.
• Experience in assisted living environments will be considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
