Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Media and Show AV/Show Control Manager, to join our team!

Job Description:

As a Media and Show AV/Show Control Manager, you will be responsible for planning, engineering coordination, integration, installation, testing, and commissioning of all show audio, video, projection, media playback, and show control systems for rides, attractions, shows, and themed environments. You will ensure that show technology systems are delivered in alignment with creative vision, technical performance, safety standards, and project schedule.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serving as the primary AV authority, advising on best practices, upgrades, and long-term technical strategy.
  • Managing and leading the planning and execution of all AV systems across relevant spaces, ensuring successful integration and operation of media, show, and game-related content.
  • Presenting regular progress reports to keep the client informed of activities, issues, milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring all AV systems are aligned with creative intent and overall guest experience and are operationally reliable and stable.
  • Overseeing rides and attraction AV systems including parkwide speakers, show audio, SFX, BGM, ride on-board audio, synchronized ride-triggered playback, LED screens, projection mapping systems, televisions, monitors, media players, and playback servers.
  • Managing and overseeing media, show, and game content ingestion, quality control, testing, file management, and integration, ensuring timely and successful integration of AV components with show control systems, theming, rides, and attractions.
  • Leading troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs for AV systems.
  • Managing audio system tuning, commissioning, and alignment in cooperation with audio producers, sound designers, and relevant consultants.
  • Supervising projection alignment, mapping calibration, playback reliability, and ongoing maintenance during site testing, integration, and delivery phases.
  • Coordinating AV integration with ride systems, animatronics, SFX, automation, and sequencing.
  • Reviewing show-control logic, queuing, and timing to ensure seamless synchronization for AV components.
  • Participating on-site during attraction commissioning, integration weeks, dry/wet runs, and acceptance testing, while maintaining detailed knowledge of show timelines and operational impacts.
  • Managing relationships between the consultant, client, and relevant vendors and subcontractors, including ride vendors, show integrators, game developers, and gamification vendors.
  • Overseeing on-site installation and programming teams during testing and commissioning.
  • Managing and overseeing training of operations and maintenance staff on AV systems, safety, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining complete AV documentation (system diagrams, rack layouts, patch schedules, signal flows, asset inventories) and updating documentation after on-site integration.
  • Ensuring AV systems comply with safety, electrical, and site operational standards.


What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in AVL system integration, show control systems, themed attractions, live entertainment technology, or immersive media environments, with demonstrated experience delivering large-scale international themed entertainment projects.
  • Strong experience in audio systems, video and projection systems, media servers, show control architectures, and networked show systems.
  • Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills, with strong knowledge of international technical standards and safety compliance.
  • Related educational qualifications and certificates and at least 12 years of relevant experience, including similar experience in theme parks and experience centers.
