Media Buying Manager

Position Summary: The Media Buying Manager – Traditional & Broadcast is responsible for planning, buying, executing, and optimizing offline and broadcast media campaigns across CTV/OTT/streaming TV, radio, billboards (OOH), print, direct mail, and sponsorships (sports, events, and local partnerships).

This role drives brand awareness, store traffic, and loan application volume through high-impact, cost-efficient media investments while ensuring alignment with company-wide marketing goals.

Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this position manages media strategy, vendor relationships, negotiations, and performance tracking across all traditional channels. The role evaluates media opportunities, allocates budget based on performance data, and ensures campaigns are executed effectively across multiple regional markets.

Dollar Loan Center operates multiple physical branches across Nevada, Utah, and Idaho (with additional online markets), making this role critical in driving localized awareness and measurable in-store demand through traditional media execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and optimize media buys across CTV/OTT/streaming TV, radio, billboards (OOH), print, direct mail, and sponsorships
  • Manage broadcast & traditional media relationships, negotiate placements for optimal reach, frequency, and cost efficiency
  • Develop and execute market-level media plans to drive store traffic and application volume
  • Ensure proper scheduling and execution of all media placements

Budgeting, Performance and Analytics Reporting:

  • Own traditional media budget allocation and pacing across all channels
  • Track and report KPIs including:
    • Reach, frequency, impressions, and GRPs
    • Cost per lead (CPL) and cost per acquisition (CPA)
    • Customer acquisition cost (CAC) and media ROI
    • Conduct post-campaign analysis and provide optimization recommendations
    • Translate media performance into actionable insights for leadership

Software, Tools and Media Expertise:

  • Experience with media planning, buying, and attribution software
  • Strong understanding of CPM-based buying, media negotiation, and budget allocation
  • Knowledge of offline attribution modeling across CTV, radio, billboards, print, and direct mail
  • Working knowledge of CTV and radio scheduling systems and broadcast trafficking workflows
  • Understanding of key media metrics including GRPs, reach, frequency, impressions, and ROI measurement
  • Experience with CRM systems, call tracking tools, and lead attribution platforms
  • Strong ability to build reporting dashboards using Excel and/or Google Sheets

Compliance & Oversight:

  • Work with DLC compliance and VP of Marketing to ensure all marketing activities comply with regulatory requirements for lending advertising and maintain brand consistency
  • Ensure all media placements comply with financial advertising regulations and brand standards
  • Partner with compliance teams and VP of Marketing to review messaging across all traditional channels
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all media buys, contracts, and deliverables

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with video production, graphic design, brand marketing, and marketing administrative teams to develop and deploy creative assets and campaigns
  • Coordinate with digital marketing teams to integrate traditional efforts with online strategies (e.g., driving traffic to DLC website and store locator)
  • Support company-wide initiatives by providing insights and feedback to inform broader marketing planning

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in media buying, preferably in traditional or broadcast channels
  • Strong experience with CTV, radio, billboard/OOH, print, direct mail, and sponsorships
  • Proven track record managing media budgets and vendor negotiations
  • Strong understanding of media KPIs, reporting, and performance measurement
  • Experience quantifying media impact (cost, impressions, leads, conversions, store traffic)
  • Strong analytical skills with Excel/Google Sheets and reporting tools
  • Experience with CRM systems, call tracking, and attribution modeling preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in retail, consumer services, or financial services strongly preferred
  • Travel may be required
