Media Coordinator

The Media Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating all media and communication activities for the football team, ensuring effective coverage, positive public image, and strong engagement with fans, media outlets, and stakeholders. The role supports the team’s brand by facilitating media relations, organizing press activities, and delivering timely and accurate information across various communication platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and broadcasters to ensure accurate and positive coverage of the team.
  • Organize and manage press conferences, media interviews, and mixed-zone activities before and after matches.
  • Coordinate with the club’s media and digital teams to provide timely news, match updates, and official statements.
  • Support media operations during matches, including accreditation, media access, and coordination with photographers and broadcasters.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, media briefings, team news, and official announcements to media stakeholders.
  • Arrange and manage media appearances for players, coaches, and club officials while ensuring adherence to club communication policies.
  • Assist in maintaining the club’s positive public image through professional communication and consistent messaging.
  • Track and analyze media coverage and report key insights to management.
  • Assist in managing sensitive communications and respond to media inquiries when required.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Certifications in media relations, public relations, or digital communications are a plus.
  • 5–8 years of experience in media coordination, journalism, or public relations.
  • Previous experience working with a football club, sports organization, or media outlet is an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to draft clear, concise, and engaging media content.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of media monitoring tools and digital platforms.
