We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Licensed Esthetician to join our team as an Independent Contractor.
Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and professional Licensed Esthetician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for skincare, beauty treatments, and exceptional guest service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize advanced esthetic techniques, including dermabrasion, dermal fillers, laser treatments, and body waxing, while providing personalized care to clients in a welcoming environment. The Licensed Esthetician will also be responsible for retail sales, product demonstrations, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. Experience with salon management software such as Millennium and MINDBODY is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a flair for social media management to promote services and special offers.
Responsibilities
- Provide a variety of skincare treatments including facials, dermabrasion, dermal fillers, laser therapy, and body waxing.
- Perform advanced esthetic procedures such as eyelash extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and hair styling.
- Administer botulinum toxin treatments and other cosmetic injections in accordance with licensing regulations.
- Manage guest services by creating personalized treatment plans and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Utilize salon software (Millennium, MINDBODY) for appointment scheduling, client records, and retail sales tracking.
- Engage in retail sales by recommending skincare products and conducting product demos to enhance client results.
- Manage social media accounts to promote services, share client success stories, and increase visibility.
- Assist with front desk duties such as greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling inquiries.
- Upsell additional services or products to maximize revenue opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Stay current with industry trends including color theory, nail care, barbering techniques like straight razor shaves, and new esthetic treatments.

Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Esthetician.
- Proven experience in skincare treatments such as facials, dermabrasion, laser therapy, body waxing, eyelash extensions, and makeup application.
- Knowledge of advanced cosmetic procedures including dermal fillers and botulinum toxin treatments is highly desirable.
- Strong management skills with familiarity using salon management systems like Millennium or MINDBODY.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate clients on treatment options and skincare routines.
- Demonstrated customer service excellence with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques within a spa or salon environment.
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols specific to esthetic practices.
- Ability to manage social media platforms effectively for marketing purposes.
- Skills in nail care, hair styling, hair threading, tattooing (if applicable), deep tissue massage (if certified), and hospitality experience are considered assets but are not mandatory.
