Medical Assistant

Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a Family practice facility. This is a temporary to possible hire position.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and updating electronic health records (EHR systems)
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status
• Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
• Support physicians with clinical tasks including vaccine administration, medication administration, medication prior authorizations, assisting in pap smear exams, wound care, and specimen collection
• Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up care, and communicate effectively with patients to enhance service quality
• Requirements
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient setting of at least one year.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology.
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems and proficiency in ICD coding for accurate documentation
• Ability to perform clinical procedures including intake assessments, vital signs measurement, EKG and specimen handling.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
