Medical Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and support within our medical facility. This position requires proficiency in medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and familiarity with both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. The Medical Assistant will assist in various clinical tasks, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately
• Prepare patients for X-Ray and other diagnostic tests
• Maintain an organized clinic environment, ensuring all equipment is ready for use
• Perform coding for medical procedures as necessary
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and treatment plans
• Support the providers with medical-surgical tasks as required
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures

Skills

• Strong understanding of medical terminology related to patient care
• Experience working in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred
• Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism
• Ability to perform vital signs assessments competently
• Familiarity with coding practices for accurate documentation
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient clinic settings is advantageous
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
