Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with the intake process to ensure accurate and complete medical records.
• Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with precision.
• Prepare patients for examinations by documenting medical histories and current symptoms using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Assist healthcare providers during procedures, including medication administration, and basic life support interventions when necessary.
• Support clinical workflows by managing ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to ensure proper billing and documentation.
• Perform basic laboratory tasks such as specimen collection or processing tests.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring comfort throughout visits.
• Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow in Level I or Level II trauma centers, and updating patient records accurately.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in clinical settings such as outpatient clinics.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding practices is essential for success in this role.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Familiarity with EHR systems used in hospital or clinic environments ensures efficient documentation and data management.
• Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach enable you to deliver outstanding patient care across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric intensive care units (PICU).
