**Overview**

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a combination of clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to ensure that patients receive the best possible experience during their visits.

**Responsibilities**

- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.

- Perform intake procedures, which include obtaining patient histories and vital signs.

- Administer medications as directed by physicians and maintain accurate records.

- Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure patient information is up-to-date and accessible.

- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.

- Conduct basic life support (BLS) as needed and respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols.

- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and inpatient facilities.

- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and relevant procedures.

**Skills**

- Proficiency in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and internal medicine practices.

- Experience with medical-surgical procedures and familiarity with level I and II trauma centers.

- Strong understanding of patient service principles and the ability to deliver compassionate care.

- Knowledge of X-ray procedures and EKGs is preferred but not mandatory; familiarity with emergency medicine protocols is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to efficiently manage multiple tasks.
