Medical Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support clinical operations at an outpatient primary care clinic. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and efficient clinical procedures.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
• Prep patients for any scheduled in-office procedures
• Support physicians and healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, placing orders, wound dressing changes, etc.
• Perform basic anatomy and physiology assessments to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Manage patient flow efficiently in outpatient settings, including scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-up care

Experience

• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant within outpatient clinics or hospital environments, preferably with exposure to family medicine and internal medicine.
• Familiarity with EHR systems for documentation, scheduling, and coding processes; our office uses Athena Health.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care activities
• Demonstrated ability to perform intake assessments, vital signs collection, and basic clinical procedures effectively
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital settings
• Preference for fluency in Spanish.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
