Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) accurately.
  • Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
  • Blood draws and Injections.
  • Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
  • Support physicians with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, and basic life support (BLS) when required.
  • Coordinate patient flow within outpatient or inpatient settings—greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing follow-up communications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment .
  • Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, offering reassurance, and ensuring a positive experience during every visit.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and pharmacology to support accurate patient care.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR systems for documentation and scheduling purposes.
  • Ability to perform clinical tasks including intake procedures, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support certification.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence in fast-paced settings like urgent care or emergency medicine.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
