Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring that medical records are complete and up-to-date. This role is essential in enhancing the efficiency of medical professionals, allowing them to focus more on patient care. A strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Accurately transcribe patient encounters during examinations and procedures in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Document medical histories, physical exams, and treatment plans as directed by healthcare providers.
• Ensure that all medical documentation complies with legal and regulatory standards.
• Assist in maintaining organized medical records and ensure timely updates to patient files.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve workflow and enhance patient care delivery.
• Stay informed about medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to ensure precise documentation.
• Support the medical office in various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical documentation practices, with experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent typing skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is a plus but not required.
