Medical Assistant - Full‑Time
Location: Salisbury, MD
Salary Range: $34,000 –$44,000 annually
Schedule: Four‑day, 36-hour work week — Monday through Thursday
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with office visits and provide skilled nursing services as scheduled and document information in the organizations EMR. This position will play a vital role in patient quality care.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, CARF standards, and Maryland state regulations.

Accurately enter and manage patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, ensuring all services are completed and documented.

Complete all required documentation related to client treatment and communicate updates promptly with internal staff and, when authorized, external providers.

Escort patients to exam rooms, conduct intake interviews, and record vital signs including weight, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature in the EMR.

Clean and disinfect exam and treatment rooms after each patient visit, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.

Ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, maintain medical equipment, prepare instruments for sterilization, and dispose of contaminated materials according to protocol.

Manage incoming calls by taking messages and responding to patient, physician, and pharmacy inquiries as appropriate.

Collaborate with clinical staff to support treatment and rehabilitation plans tailored to client needs.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience

Active certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

Minimum of two years’ experience working with adults experiencing mental health conditions preferred.

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Flexible availability, including willingness to work occasional evening hours as needed.

Current certification in CPR and First Aid.

Authorized and competent to perform assigned duties, including coordinating client care and treatment services.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with team members to support the organization’s mission and meet the healthcare needs of the populations served.
