- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by documenting medical histories and current symptoms with clarity and precision.
- Assist healthcare providers during clinical procedures, including medication administration, X-ray positioning, and basic life support (BLS) protocols.
- Support diagnostic processes by preparing equipment and assisting with laboratory tests or imaging procedures in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Manage medical documentation efficiently, including ICD coding for diagnoses and maintaining detailed patient records.
- Perform routine administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred, but not required; additional certifications such as X-ray tech or OR experience are a plus.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures to support diverse patient needs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine or PICU settings.
