Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support dermatology providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, assisting with procedures, and managing documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Obtain and record
vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies

Room patients and prepare them for examination
-
Assist with dermatology procedures, including:
-
Biopsies (shave and punch)
-
Suture removal
-
Dressing changes
-
Sterile/aseptic procedure setup
-
Handle
specimen collection and labeling
-
Perform administrative duties such as:
-
Scheduling appointments
-
Chart preparation
-
Pharmacy calls and refill requests
-
Authorization forms
-
Maintain accurate documentation using
Epic EMR
-
Follow infection control and safety protocols
Required Qualifications:

Active
Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
license (required)

Minimum
6 months of outpatient clinic experience

Experience with
Epic EMR (required)

Strong clinical and administrative skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Dermatology experience
-
Experience assisting with minor procedures

Familiarity with high-volume outpatient settings

Approximately
35 patients per day

Use of standard clinical equipment and EMR systems

Requires multitasking and strong patient interaction
