Medical Assistant (MA-C) – Dermatology | Issaquah, WA

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to support a dermatology clinic in Issaquah, WA . This is a 13-week contract opportunity with potential for extension and a great chance to work with a reputable healthcare system.

Job Details:

• Location: Issaquah, WA (with float to First Hill, Bellevue, and West Seattle as needed)
• Shift: Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Work Setting: Dermatology Outpatient Clinic

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant will support dermatology providers by performing both clinical and administrative duties, including patient intake, assisting with procedures, and managing documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies
• Room patients and prepare them for examination
• Assist with dermatology procedures, including:
• Biopsies (shave and punch)
• Suture removal
• Dressing changes
• Sterile/aseptic procedure setup
• Handle specimen collection and labeling
• Perform administrative duties such as:
• Scheduling appointments
• Chart preparation
• Pharmacy calls and refill requests
• Authorization forms
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
• Follow infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:

• Active Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) license (required)
• Minimum 6 months of outpatient clinic experience
• Experience with Epic EMR (required)
• Strong clinical and administrative skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Dermatology experience
• Experience assisting with minor procedures
• Familiarity with high-volume outpatient settings

Additional Requirements:

• Must be open to floating between clinic locations
• Must have reliable transportation
• Open to local and travel candidates
• Must be open to temp-to-perm opportunities

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced dermatology clinic
• Approximately 35 patients per day
• Use of standard clinical equipment and EMR systems
• Requires multitasking and strong patient interaction
