Overview
Our Primary care clinic is looking for a Bilingual SPANISH Medical Assistant to become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care across diverse medical settings. In this role, you will support healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories, verifying insurance information, and updating electronic health records (EHR systems) efficiently.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring their comfort throughout the visit.
- Support clinical procedures including medication administration, wound care, X-ray assistance, and basic life support (BLS) protocols when needed.
- Document clinical notes accurately using medical terminology, code diagnoses with ICD codes, and assist with documentation related to inpatient, outpatient, or emergency care settings.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies, and adhering to infection control standards in hospital or clinic settings.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions promptly, coordinating follow-up appointments, and supporting patient education on health management.
Experience
- Prior experience working in outpatient clinics
- SPANISH REQUIRED
- Hands-on experience with EHR eclinical works and familiarity with medical coding including ICD coding is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology enhances your ability to deliver comprehensive patient support.
- Experience assisting in primary care or urgent care centers demonstrates versatility in handling diverse medical cases.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
