Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable supporting both clinical and procedural workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Duties:

• Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation
• Prepare patients for interventional procedures (e.g., injections, nerve blocks)
• Assist providers during procedures as needed
• Perform injections (IM, SQ) as directed by provider
• Sterilize and prepare procedure rooms and equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR (e.g., Modernizing Medicine (ModMed) or similar systems)

Administrative/Support Duties:

• Manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations
• Handle prior authorizations and referrals for procedures/imaging
• Coordinate with front desk and billing teams
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control protocols
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering

Qualifications

Required:

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) Preferred
• 1+ year experience in a clinical setting (pain management, orthopedics, or spine preferred)
• Experience with EMR systems (preferably Modernizing Medicine (ModMed))
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and injection protocols
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Preferred:

• Experience in Interventional Pain Management or Orthopedics
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 coding basics
• Fluoroscopy room experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
